Serienmail retains demo version status despite registration

You have purchased Serienmail and received confirmation of your email address from us. However, Serienmail incorrectly displays the status demo version. Below you will find some possible solutions.

Checking the email address

Mail merge is registered to the default email address of your mailbox. Please check which email address is used as the default email address in your Outlook. To check the default email address, follow these steps.

  1.  Create a new email.
  2.  In the Mail merge tab, click the License button. The following dialog opens:

  1.  Check whether the e-mail address we have confirmed matches the address in the E-mail address field.
  2.  If the e-mail address matches the e-mail address confirmed by us, click on the Check button in the dialog. After a successful check, your company name will be displayed.
  3.  If the e-mail address that we have confirmed to you by e-mail does not match the e-mail address displayed, change the default e-mail address.

Changing the default e-mail address

Proceed as follows to make the original e-mail address the default e-mail address again.

  1.  In Outlook, call up the command File, Account settings, Account settings. The following window opens:

  1.  In the window, select the e-mail address for which you have registered serial mail and click on Set as default and then on Close.
  2.  Restart Outlook and check whether your full version is now recognized.

When reinstalling Outlook, it may happen that an e-mail address other than the one registered with us becomes the default e-mail address. This will change the license status from Serienmail to demo version. If you change the email address originally registered with us back to the default email address, Serienmail will receive a valid license again.

License servers are not accessible

  1.  Create a new email.
  2.  Click on the License button in the Serienmail tab. The following dialog opens:

  1.  Click on the Check button. If the message Error sending request appears, access to the license servers is blocked. In this case, send us an email to info@it-service-ruhr.de or call us: Tel. +49 (23 24) 70 89 4-0.
